GarageBand and Podcasts in Music Instruction

 
 

This site was created to accompany the session GarageBand and Podcasts in Music Instruction, presented at Iowa State University in the Music Department on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.


The purpose of the presentation is to demonstrate possible uses of Apple GarageBand in the context of music instruction in higher education both in the studio and in the classroom. Apple GarageBand is a part of Apple iLife. This presentation uses iLife ’08 and also elements of iWork ’08.

WELCOME!

Matt J. Fuller has been a technology director for the past eleven years and is currently the Director of Technology and Communication for The Winnetka Public Schools, a north shore suburb of Chicago. Matt began his education career as a band director and elementary music teacher after earning his Bachelor of Music degree from DePauw University (Greencastle, IN) where he studied tuba and conducting with Orcenith Smith. He holds his Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from National-Louis University. An Apple Distinguished Educator, he frequently presents at conferences and provides professional development courses for educators at all levels of technology experience.
