About This Site

I have maintained a personal website since December 10, 1996. At that time I began a site on geocities.com (long before they were part of Yahoo!) at the now-defunct address www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/3101.

In 2001 I purchased the domain mattjfuller.com and the site was hosted by Net Results, a small company in Chicago’s south suburbs.

Currently, www.mattjfuller.com is hosted by Apple using their MobileMe service. This setup allows me to easily use Apple’s iWeb functionality to maintain my blog, photo album sites, and counters, while simultaneously allowing me to store specific materials (such as conference and presentation downloads) at my www.mattjfuller.com address with a relatively simple URL.

Over the years, several website development tools have been used to create and maintain this site including HTML in a text editor, Claris Home Page, Macromedia/Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady, Apple iPhoto, and others. Currently, the entire site is maintained in Apple iWeb using other Apple iLife and iWork applications to create, manage, and organize the content. I occasionally use additional Web 2.0 tools when necessary (Posterous, Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, etc.).

The display font is Klavika (Process Type Foundry by Eric Olson, 2005). The body font is Helvetica (Haas Typefoundry by Max Miedinger & Eduard Hoffman, 1957).

The current design (November 2010 revision) is based upon the “Modern” template in Apple iWeb, but it has been completely customized.

TMI? Probably.
